Yin Yoga Intensive Weekend with Megan Moss Freeman

During this weekend of Yin Yoga exploration we'll spend time considering skeletal variations between us, based on the work of Paul Grilley. As we study these anatomical differences we'll also examine the common themes that thread throughout our more subtle energetic realms through the lens of Yin Yoga + Daoism.
Friday night, the first segment of the training, will be a public workshop: Yin Yoga for Self-Care. This class will utilize the quiet and stretchy practice of Yin Yoga as a tool for finding balance in our over-stressed, over-worked minds and bodies.
Saturday and Sunday are designed for teachers, therapists and curious students to learn how to weave Yin Yoga into their existing practices. We'll do an in-depth study of Yin asana (postures) as we carefully consider how to best modify the shapes to meet the needs of the individual. In addition, we will look at how to incorporate meridian and chakra work, pranayama and meditation into our practice/teaching to help balance the nervous and energetic systems.
You can expect a blend of lecture, discussion, personal practice and hands-on/partner work.
Upon completion of this course, students will receive 20 YACE Continuing Education hours through Yoga Alliance.
