FEBRUARY: THE SELF-LOVE CLUB

February, the month where we find one of the biggest Hallmark holidays: Valentines Day. While giving and receiving love for or from a friend, relative or partner is great, the love we can receive from ourselves is unmatched. Welcome to Brighton Yoga Center, where for the month of February (and all year actually), we want to be a part of your SELF-LOVE CLUB. To love yourself is to first understand and accept yourself completely. In The Tao of Pooh, Whinny the Pooh simply puts it, "How can you get very far, If you don't know Who You Are?"


What better way to find out who you are, then to spend some quality time taking care of you! Here are some ideas to help you build your self-love club this month.

PARTNER YOGA

Come enjoy a fun evening out with your partner/spouse/BFF on Valentine's Day! Aneesa Cappellano and Andi Clothier, with their spouses, will guide you in exploring new ways to communicate and build trust with each other through creative partner yoga poses. NO YOGA EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Anyone can do this! Sweets, snacks, and spirits (wine, beer, seltzers, champagne) will be provided and can be enjoyed before or during the social time or sipped on during class. 

 

Come 5:30-6:00 PM for sweets, sips and social time. Class will begin at 6:00 and end at 7:00 PM.


What to bring: Two mats, one for each person in the group. If you only have one or don't have any at all, we have mats to borrow!

✨ Breath and Relaxation Techniques: Learn the art of yogic breathing and relaxation. These invaluable techniques contribute to your overall well-being, providing tools for stress relief and a balanced lifestyle.

✨ Dive into Yoga Philosophy: Understand the essence of yoga beyond the physical postures. Emily will introduce you to the foundational principles, making the philosophy accessible and relevant.

 

ABOUT THE COURSE: This is a true beginner's progressive course with each week building on the prior week's foundation and knowledge.

February 28, 2024 at 5:00 pm is Class 1: The Fundamentals of Breath, Movement and Standing Postures

March 7, 2024 at 5:00 pm is Class 2: Strength And Integrity in Your Core

March 14, 2024 at 5:00 pm is Class 3: Mobilizing Your Spine with Twists and Putting It All Together

 

INTENSITY LEVEL:

This course is designed with beginners in mind. However, it's important to recognize that every beginner is unique, with different bodies, conditioning levels, strengths, and flexibilities. To be honest, it's impossible to predict the exact intensity or demands of these classes for you.

Emily will assist you in finding the intensity that works perfectly for YOU. While you will certainly move and engage in this course, here are two truths to keep in mind:

1: If you're eager for a more intense experience, you'll have the chance to explore that in your ongoing yoga journey (and this course lays the foundation for it).

2: For those who prefer a gentler approach, Emily has you covered with plenty of modifications and strategies. She will help you take it at your own pace. Remember, this is YOUR yoga journey, and we'll make it uniquely yours.

WEAR: No need to rush to Lululemon—unless, of course, you're looking for a reason to treat yourself! Keep it simple and wear anything you feel comfortable exercising in. Adding an extra layer is a great idea in case you feel a bit cool at the beginning or end of the class.

After that, take advantage of the new member class pack: $50 for 5 classes, one month expiration after date of purchase. $10/ class, what a deal!
