Catherine's love of yoga is evident as she brings a warm, creative and engaging practice to every class she teaches. After practicing yoga for many years as a way to reduce stress and to recover from injury, she took the next step by completing her yoga teacher training at Brighton Yoga Center. Catherine loves yoga for its powerful benefits of stress relief, relaxation and connect with themselves. She cultivates a subtle balance of ease and challenge within her classes and fosters a class that is for everyBODY. As a busy mom, yoga has become her sanctuary and time for self care. She is excited to share her practice with others.

Andi came to yoga at an early age thanks to her mom. She has devoted the better half of nearly two decades to practicing, studying and teaching. Andi is best known for her concise teaching style, creative sequencing, humor and relatable messaging. She invites students to come home to themselves, embrace the present, find their edges and soften around what is. She believes the most spiritual thing you can do is be fully in your truth.

Teaching yoga isn't just a passion; it's a soul-nourishing experience for me. I cherish the opportunity to create a space where others can move freely and connect with their bodies. My journey with yoga began as a way to bond with my sister, but it took on a deeper meaning when I turned to it to recover from an injury. Through yoga, I not only regained my strength but also discovered a profound connection between my mind, breath, and body. This transformative experience inspired me to share the gift of yoga with others.

My yoga journey began as a physical practice, finding joy in the movement as a new form of exercise. I fell in love with yoga though when it evolved for me into a practice of embodied awareness, a practice of moving with my breath, and a practice of connecting mind, body, and spirit. I became a yoga teacher in hopes to inspire others, to promote growth, and to pass on to the community the same joy that yoga has given to me. “Be the change you wish to see in the world” - Mahatma Gandhi

I teach yoga to stay connected to my breath, my body, my mind and the people around me. To take care of my complete mental and physical health and to stay grounded.

When we create space to focus on our breath we invite ourselves back to the present moment. Yoga allows us to come back to the mind and bring awareness to every inhale and exhale. I teach to share what yoga has and continues to bring to my life and that is to embody each and every day, no matter what it brings, not striving for perfection but just showing up as we are. To know that life id not a destination but a journey. We get to share and create energy and find magic by being present.

I started practicing yoga 15 years ago in Connecticut with Gina Norman and Stan Woodman. From 2010-2012 I dove deeply into Yin and Restorative yoga. I went on to study Thai yoga massage in Montreal and massage therapy at the Pacific College of Health & Science in NYC in 2013. I moved to Michigan in 2014 and began practicing as a student of ashtanga in Ann Arbor with my teacher Angela. While I was pregnant with my first child in 2015 I studied prenatal yoga. Since then my partner and I have built a farm where we are raising our 4 children. It is through yoga that I have forged a spiritual foundation for my life. I will always be a student and a steward of this path for others. OM!

I began practicing yoga ten years ago and have been teaching for six. I received my first RY T200 in 2017 where the focus was based on Baptiste Power Yoga. I completed my second RYT200 in 2018 to experience different styles. I am also an elementary school teacher and never intended to teach my own yoga classes. After my second RYT this changed very quickly. I fell in love with hot yoga and the freedom of moving meditation. The joy and passion that I feel after teaching a class is the same as when I am a student. I love to combine creative sequencing, pranayama and music to help my students deepen their practice and find new possibilities mind and bodies.

I teach yoga to give back to others what yoga has given to me.

Yoga was the first time I heard of the word "mindfulness," of what it meant to be grounded in your body and connected to your breath. I love that it encompasses physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. As a teacher, I hope that I can support others to discover what yoga means to them and find joy in the experience.

I hope that my students take away a sense of strength, balance and flexibility in their body, mind and spirit.
